Line jetting, also called “hydro jetting” or “hydro blasting” in Goldfields & Mid-West, is a method of clearing and cleaning pipes, drains and lines using high-pressure water. Line jetting handles what rodding can’t: grease, scale, sludge, root intrusion and hardened product build-up that coats the full bore of the pipe. Because water does the work, the line itself isn’t cut or dug up.
How Hydro Jetting Works
The operator feeds a high-pressure hose fitted with a line-jetting head into the pipe. Nozzles direct water forward to break through the blockage and backward to pull the hose along, scour the walls and move loosened material back towards the recovery area. Our industrial vacuum trucks then remove the debris and standing liquid, containing the waste for transport.
