About GCW | Waste Management Perth & WA

OUR STORY

GCW started in Leonora, where the Kelly family built relationships with mines, contractors and local businesses across the northern Goldfields. The business grew at a steady pace through referrals and a reputation for reliable work. As clients needed more from us, we expanded our capability and service area while keeping the local service model that built those relationships in the first place.

Today, GCW has established operations in Kalgoorlie, Leonora and Geraldton. Our people, trucks, yards and equipment are based permanently in the regions. We support mining and exploration operations as well as industrial, commercial and residential clients in the communities where our people live and work. We are building a business that’s serious about standards, serious about service, and serious about the regions we work in.

Who we are today

GCW is part of Recycling and Waste Holdings Pty Ltd, along with Minesite Recycling our specialist scrap metal recovery service provider operating across the waste and recycling sector. GCW is the group’s regional waste management business, managing solid and liquid waste (including contaminated and controlled waste), industrial vacuum truck services, scrap metal recycling, site clean-ups and mining shutdown support.

Our sister company, Minesite Recycling, handles major site clean-ups and metals recovery. The group structure gives clients the best of both worlds: a regional operator that answers the phone locally, backed by the rigour, accountability and standards to deliver what your head office requires. We are building one GCW, with the structure to scale and the discipline to support it.

OUR TEAM

GCW’s dedicated leadership team is committed to maintaining the relationships and agility that built our business, while adding structure and systems to support our next years. What really makes a difference is our permanent workforce in Kalgoorlie, Leonora and Geraldton. While other waste management companies operate FIFO from Perth, we’re already here, living and working in-region.

We know the roads. We know the region. We know the sites. We know you – and you know us. When you call GCW, you speak with a local contact you know by name, not a call centre hundreds of kilometres away.
